- "Stalk & kill hostiles while remaining undetected."
- ― In-game description
Panther is a type of playstyle featured in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist. This playstyle favors stealth and lethal tactics to deal with enemies during missions. Players who choose this playstyle gain more points than the Assault playstyle, but less than the Ghost playstyle.
The Panther playstyle was first introduced in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction, but wasn't actually named 'Panther' until Blacklist. Panther players execute their missions by using lethal means and the cover of stealth to keep their enemies in fear. This playstyle can be compared to a hunter toying with their prey by using the environment to conceal themselves. Panther players don't mind bodies being discovered, but they are more lethal using stealth to strike fear into enemy patrols and typically work faster than the other two playstyles.
- Sam Fisher's codename during Splinter Cell: Conviction is 'Panther', as revealed at the end of the level Kobin's Mansion.
