The Mercenary Drone (sometimes simply referred to as the 'drone') is a gadget used by Mercenaries in the multiplayer mode Spies vs Mercs in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent And Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
Overview[]
In the Spies vs Mercs multiplayer, Mercenaries have access to these remotely controlled devices that could be deployed to explore areas that they can't reach in order to find pesky Spies. They have rotors that allow limited hovering capability and vision around the mercenarys vicinity, as they tend to lose signal while going too far. They are equipped with an explosive that detonates when near a Spy, but it can also detonate on command and can be used to force Spies into traps. However, using a drone will leave the mercenary undefended, meaning it poses a huge risk when utilised.
Double Agent[]
All Upsilon Force mercenaries are equipped with two drones which they can use for scouting. It sports advance HUD with an altitude meter and a bar that counts battery capacity. The explosive charge is rigged to a timer of three seconds before it explodes.
Blacklist[]
Merdcenaries who wear the UAV suit have a drone as their special tool. The drone is more swift and will explode instantly upon detonation. The downpart is that it's loud enough for spies to hear it's rotors and can be destroyed by gunfire and tools.
