- "The G36C specializes in exceptionally strong damage maintained over far distances."
- ― in-game description
The G36C is an assault rifle developed and manufactured by German firearms manufacturer Heckler & Koch. The G36C is a 'compact' variant of the G36.
The G36C ("C" standing for "Compact") is a compact, subcarbine version of the G36.
In Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, the G36C is carried by some personnel of Displace International (they can be seen in the Displace level). Similiar to the G36C, the G36KV is also used by Displace members and mercenaries. Both the G36C and G36KV are unobtainable for the player to use.
In Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction, the G36C is available for use by the player. It is first seen in use by Andriy Kobin, and it is also used by Third Echelon Splinter Cells and Black Arrow mercenaries. The G36C can be unlocked halfway through the Campaign, upgradable with a 4X Scope, Laser Sight and Match Grade Ammunition. It is important to keep in mind that the G36C fires in burst mode when zoomed in with the 4X Scope. While not using the scope, it is recommended that the G36C is fired in short bursts because it has a heavy muzzle rise under sustained automatic fire.
|4X Scope||300 points|
|Laser Sight||250 points|
|Match Grade Ammo||250 points|
In Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist, the G36C makes a return as DLC content; it is a powerful assault rifle and accepts more attachments. Like it's Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction counterpart, the G36C is the 'top tier' in 4E assault rifle selection: it is the last assault rifle to be unlocked and purchased. With the upgrades, the G36C is a versatile backup, it is capable of dealing most threats except enemies in heavy armor. It's available after purchasing the SC-4000 (except the black market weapons).
