Embassy

The Chinese Embassy to Myanmar is the People's Republic of China's embassy to Myanmar that was placed in charge by People's Liberation Army General Kong Feirong prior to the Georgian Information Crisis of 2004.

HistoryEdit

2004: Georgian Information Crisis Edit

Prior to 2004, the Chinese Embassy served as the hub of China's diplomatic mission to Myanmar in Rangoon. It housed the office of Ambassador Long Dan, a respected official of the Chinese government. During the Georgian Information Crisis, however, the embassy was besieged by loyal followers of General Kong Feirong, a corrupt Chinese general who led a splinter faction of the People's Republic Army. Having aligned himself with rogue Georgian President Kombayn Nikoladze, Feirong chose to set up his command at the embassy, capturing the diplomats and occupying the Ambassador's office. Feirong had the diplomats sent to Mouke Tsoe Bo Meats, an abattoir where Nikoladze was in hiding. While in the embassy, Feirong provided Nikoladze with vehicles and munitions in exchange for nuclear materials, which he hid away on the embassy grounds for later assembly. During Feirong's stay at the embassy, the facility was heavily ransacked.

In their search for Nikoladze, Third Echelon traced communications between himself and the Chinese Embassy, prompting suspicions that China was aiding Georgia's terrorist campaign against the U.S. With diplomatic relations rapidly breaking down, Splinter Cell Sam Fisher was sent in to investigate. Upon infiltrating the embassy grounds, Fisher learns of Nikoladze's intent to execute captured American soldiers while listening in on a call between him and General Feirong, who was a known figure to the NSA and highly-ranked in the military. As the United States readied itself for a possible standoff with China in the wake of this new evidence, Fisher was sent to prevent the executions at Mouke Tsoe Bo Meats. With the failure of the executions, Nikoladze evaded capture and fled Myanmar, abandoning Feirong in the process. During the firefight in the abattoir, Third Echelon learned that Feirong was acting without China's knowledge or authority. Realizing this, Feirong immediately prepared to flee the embassy.

By the time Fisher returned to the embassy, Feirong and his men were already eliminating all evidence of their activities, destroying all computers and setting incriminating documents alight. Third Echelon also discovered that Feirong was evacuating critical components towards making a nuclear weapon on trucks refueling in a warehouse located next door, and was ordered to destroy them. Making his way past a slew of keypad-locked doors, Fisher fought his way through the embassy, and destroyed the trucks by shooting out their fuel tanks before they could escape. Fisher then fought his way to Feirong's office, where the general was already preparing to erase all evidence of his actions.

While en route, Fisher intercepted communications between several soldiers who were rushing to Feirong's office as the general prepared to commit suicide. Fisher cornered the general at his desk as he was falling into a drunken stupor, having consumed poisoned liquor and shot his own men to death. Fisher seized the general and forced him to divulge all information to him off the Ambassador's PC, before Feirong finally died from the liquor he consumed. The embassy's main hall was then consumed in a massive blaze set off by a document fire, causing panic among Feirong's surviving followers. Fisher dodged the flames and escaped as the inferno consumed the embassy.

With sufficient evidence to absolve China of having any role in the Georgian Information Crisis, the U.S. alerted China to Feirong's activities. China promptly sent Special Forces to take control of the remains of the embassy in Yangon, ending the faction's role in the crisis.

Layout Edit

Outer PerimeterEdit

The Chinese Embassy to Myanmar was protected by an outer wall around the perimeter that encompassed the embassy itself. The wall is roughly 15 to 20 feet high with barbed wire resting on the top of the walls. At the front gate is a small security booth with multiple sets of street lights set up to illuminate the front of the embassy building. Around the area within the walls is a small Chinese garden with two bridges leading to a small gazebo area with benches and sitting areas placed around. The windows outside of the main building are red and have designs on possibly the curtains (facing outside) of a dragon.

Inner Embassy Edit
