Dr. Aswat is a Pakistani nuclear scientist who attempts to sell the dangerous Red Mercury material to American terrorist and leader of the John Brown's Army, Emile Duraisne. He carries out the meeting with Emile and his ally Massoud Ibn Youseff at the Jin Mao hotel in Shanghai, China where he tries to raise the price to $400 million, which Emile does not agree to. Sam Fisher is then ordered by Irving Lambert to kill Aswat in order to stop him from ever selling nuclear materials on the black market again. Emile then orders Fisher to steal Aswat's notes on creating Red Mercury in order to make the material himself. Sam carries out both orders by procuring the Doctor's notes for Emile and assassinating the Doctor after he returns to his room as ordered by Lambert.
